Chelmsford 10K

 Dear Readers,

Over the last 2 months Terry and his fabulous mates have been training hard to run in the Chelmsford 10K race, which was held today at Anglia Ruskin University.

It was a freezing cold day, but they all pushed through the freezing temperatures and managed to complete the race in under an hour.

I am super grateful for the guys taking part in this race to help us to raise money for my new portable oxygen concentrator. A medical device which will help to make my life with Pulmonary Hypertension a lot easier.

Having a portable oxygen concentrator will mean I can take oxygen with me whenever I go out, or travel across the UK or abroad. Due to my PH symptoms recently worsening, I am now relying on oxygen daily, throughout the day. I currently use oxygen canisters from the NHS, but they only have a certain amount of oxygen in each canister, meaning they can run out at anytime. This new portable oxygen concentrator means I won’t have to worry about running out of oxygen, as I will be able to charge it wherever I go - from a plug point or in a car.

We are so overwhelmed with the response we have received for this fundraiser and to have reached 85% of our target is such an incredible achievement. We hope to reach our target very soon, but the very kind and generous donations we have received since we announced this fundraiser in January has been incredible. Thank you to those who have donated, the donations have been so appreciated.

Finally, my husband, Terry has been an amazing support. From organising this event, the hardcore training each day and for taking part in his first 10K, was fantastic to see. Well done Terry, I'm super proud of you!
